Space Coast Salutes — Custom Website Development, AEO, and Regional SEO for a Military Community Platform

Space Coast Salutes is a community-powered initiative backed by the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast. Their mission is straightforward: connect active-duty service members, veterans, military spouses, and their families to the resources they need to live, work, and thrive in Brevard County.

The problem was the platform did not match the mission. They had a message worth hearing and an audience that needed to find them. They just needed a web presence built to do the work.

Brevard SEM came in and built the site from the ground up, then put the full stack behind it.

Technical Changes:

  • Rebuilt the WordPress site with a performance-first architecture, custom page templates for each audience segment (Living Here, Moving Here, Working Here, Career Launchpad), and lazy-load image handling to hit Core Web Vitals targets across mobile and desktop.
  • Implemented AEO schema markup including FAQ structured data, SpeakableSpecification, and Organization entity signals so the platform can be cited by AI assistants when users ask about military relocation to the Space Coast or veteran career resources in Brevard County.
  • Restructured internal linking and regional keyword targeting around Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral, and Brevard County military community queries, then layered CRO improvements onto the Career Launchpad conversion path to reduce drop-off between awareness and action.
